Requirements:
- MS or BS degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
- At least 2 years of embedded software development experience
- Experience with embedded C and C++
- Experience with embedded Linux and development tools
- Knowledge of microprocessor and microcontroller technology
- Knowledge of basic protocols such as I2C, USB, SATA, and PCIe
- Basic understanding of Ethernet networks
- Ability to work collaboratively throughout the embedded software life cycle
- U.S. citizenship is required for this contract role, and applicants must provide proof of citizenship; employer visa sponsorship is not available
Responsibilities:
- Report to the software engineering manager
- Develop a project software development plan aligned with the defined hardware platform
- Analyze system-level requirements and create embedded software requirements
- Create software architecture and design
- Write software that meets the requirements, architecture, and design
- Develop software verification and validation procedures, and perform verification and validation testing
- Document and maintain software configuration data
- Prepare and maintain contract technical deliverables
- Maintain the software repository and build environment
- Support production software testing

This role is onsite in Hayward, California, and works directly on a U.S. Government contract. Our salary range is $122,575–$130,000 per year.
