Job Summary (Network Architect - CR262)
- Serve as the primary technical principal responsible for delivering enterprise-level network solutions.
- Oversee planning, design, implementation, and operation of complex network infrastructure projects.
- Manage network infrastructure projects, including technical leadership and communication with stakeholders and vendors.
- Review and assess network designs for security and risk; ensure adherence to business requirements and best practices.
- Provide on-site and remote technical assistance and troubleshooting to internal resources and customers.
- Build, configure, and document new infrastructure environments in line with industry standards and internal policies.
- Lead infrastructure design, deployment, maintenance, optimization, and performance engineering efforts.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to internal engineering teams; transfer knowledge and lead technical staff as needed.
- Establish, document, and enforce system and network standards, ensuring robust and secure environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance; schedule upgrades and collaborate on network improvements.
- Implement and enforce network and server security policies; define and monitor access controls.
- Participate in capacity planning, demand forecasting, and software performance analysis.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Provide 24x7 network support and report on operational status as required.
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of key networking technologies, including firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), load balancers (F5, AWS ELB), routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), and public cloud services (AWS, Azure).
- Utilize automation tools (Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform) for network configuration and management.
- Maintain up-to-date certifications (AWS Solution Architect, CCNP required; CCIE and AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred).
- Apply advanced scripting (Perl, UNIX shell, Python) and use network monitoring/admin tools (Wireshark, Nagios, etc.).
- Support and maintain data center, wireless, VoIP, and security infrastructure in alignment with organizational needs.
