By staying at the forefront of healthcare trends and continuously evolving our services, we ensure that patients receive the best possible care.About the Role:Avardis is seeking a strategic, hands-on Regional Director of Human Resources to lead HR operations across multiple skilled nursing facilities. Reporting to the Regional Vice President of Operations with a dotted-line relationship to senior HR leadership, you will guide regional workforce strategy, coach HR partners and operational leaders, strengthen retention and engagement, and manage complex employee relations and compliance matters. This role is ideal for an experienced multi-site HR leader who can turn workforce data into action and build consistent, high-performing people practices across a region.Major Responsibilities:Serve as the primary strategic HR partner to the Regional Vice President of Operations and regional leadership team.Lead regional workforce planning and provide insight on turnover, staffing stability, leadership effectiveness, employee relations, and compliance risk.Coach, develop, and provide escalation support to Human Resources Partners serving care centers throughout the region.Create and execute measurable recruitment, retention, engagement, recognition, and culture-improvement strategies.Analyze workforce trends-including early-tenure, first-year, and regrettable turnover-to identify root causes and recommend targeted solutions.Partner with operational leaders on leadership performance, succession planning, transitions, restructures, and organizational change.Oversee complex investigations, sensitive terminations, and high-risk employee relations matters involving employment law, leave, accommodation, wage-and-hour, discrimination, harassment, or retaliation concerns.Promote consistent application of company policies and HR practices across assigned care centers.Lead regional HR audits, corrective action plans, and compliance initiatives.Oversee unemployment claims, appeals, hearings, documentation, and trend analysis to reduce avoidable cost and risk.Support acquisitions, transitions, and enterprise HR initiatives while maintaining strong partnerships with Legal and corporate resources.Conduct regular facility visits to assess HR operations, strengthen communication, and support leaders and employees. Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.Progressive human resources leadership experience in a multi-site or regional environment.Experience in skilled nursing, long-term care, healthcare, or another multi-site operational setting strongly preferred.Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, investigations, retention, compliance, performance management, and leadership consultation.Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and sound HR practices.Ability to analyze workforce data, identify trends, develop practical solutions, and measure results.Excellent communication, judgment, organization, relationship-management, coaching, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency with email, word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and HR technology.Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently in a fast-paced, changing environment.Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region, including overnight stays and occasional work outside normal business hours.
