Job description

Job Description:

  • Ensure optimal performance, integrity, and compliance of medical imaging systems and related interfaces
  • Manage interfaces connecting EMR, RIS, PACS, and voice recognition systems
  • Verify data integrity and optimize image and workflow processes
  • Recommend image-management policies and support compliance with federal regulations and imaging standards
  • Assess diagnostic imaging modality capabilities
  • Collaborate with customers, developers, architects, project managers, and team members to analyze requirements and design business solutions
  • Participate in the full system development lifecycle and maintain project documents and deliverables
  • Manage project requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, and defects
  • Communicate downtime, upgrades, workflow changes, and methods to stakeholders
  • Support vendor management and evaluate vendor solutions through cost-benefit analysis
  • Implement and maintain imaging hardware and software, including upgrades and updates
  • Retrieve data for performance indicators and audits
  • Provide business and technical support for project and production activities
  • Conduct testing, defect management, integration testing, UAT, implementation checkout, and post-implementation support
  • Maintain design documents, architecture documents, and flow diagrams
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and perform other assigned duties

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Information Systems or related field, or relevant experience and/or education in lieu of a bachelor’s degree
  • Experience in medical imaging systems administration, PACS administration, or a similar healthcare role preferred
  • Lean/Six Sigma preferred
  • Health Insurance or Healthcare Industry experience preferred
  • Proficiency with PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
  • Strong understanding of DICOM and HL7 standards
  • Familiarity with network configurations, transmission protocols, and server management
  • Experience with hardware and software implementation, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Ability to retrieve and analyze data for performance indicators
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
  • Customer-focused commitment to service excellence
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must comply with HIPAA, data security guidelines, company policies, and applicable laws
  • No required licenses or certifications
  • No additional language required
