Job description

Job Description:

  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert within the Operations Technology Transformation organization
  • Design and implement scalable data architectures and reliable data flows into the enterprise data warehouse
  • Design and manage cloud-based data platforms, database schemas, and data models
  • Assemble and manage large, complex datasets
  • Architect and implement ETL/ELT data pipelines from internal and external sources
  • Establish data models, integration patterns, and engineering best practices
  • Develop scalable, secure, and cost-efficient enterprise data solutions
  • Monitor and improve platform and pipeline performance, reliability, and scalability
  • Support analytics tools, operational reporting, performance measurement, and business intelligence initiatives
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries, views, stored procedures, and database objects
  • Implement query tuning and performance optimization strategies
  • Provide technical guidance to analytics team members
  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, analysts, and technology teams to translate requirements into technical solutions
  • Support delivery across development, testing, UAT, and production environments
  • Participate in solution design reviews, technical planning, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Diagnose and resolve pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive continuous improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Extensive experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or related technical roles
  • Strong experience designing and developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure data services
  • Advanced SQL development skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, and performance tuning
  • Experience working with large-scale structured and unstructured datasets
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and data integration principles
  • Experience supporting analytics, reporting, and business intelligence initiatives
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
