Our client is looking for an experienced accounting leader who can balance the fundamentalsclose, reporting, controls and GAAPwith the bigger picture of improving processes, developing a team and helping leadership understand what the numbers mean for the business. This is an excellent fit for someone who has worked in a project-based, construction or job-cost environment and enjoys finding ways to make accounting processes stronger and more scalable.

What You'll Do

• Lead the local accounting function, including oversight of AR, AP, payroll, treasury, billing and collections
• Manage month-end financial reporting, variance analysis and key financial metrics
• Oversee job cost accounting, including project setup, billing, change orders, rate changes and budget-to-actual analysis
• Partner with operational leaders to evaluate project performance, expenses and overall financial results
• Maintain strong financial controls across cash, inventory, accruals, revenue recognition and other key accounting processes
• Support month-end and year-end close in partnership with the corporate finance team
• Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
• Develop meaningful dashboards and operational reporting that help leaders make informed decisions
• Identify opportunities to modernize, streamline and improve accounting processes
• Support financial integration related to acquisitions and continued organizational growth
• Lead and develop the accounting team while helping drive broader strategic initiatives

What They're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 7+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• At least 3 years of leadership/management experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition
• Experience with percentage-of-completion accounting and construction/project-based contracts
• Proven experience managing job costing and project financials
• Ability to analyze financial results and confidently communicate findings to operational and executive leadership
• Track record of improving accounting systems, processes and controls
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can evolve
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to navigate challenging conversations and influence across departments

Nice to Have

• CPA
• ERP implementation or systems transformation experience
• Experience with lease accounting and business combination/acquisition accounting
• Background in construction, contracting, field services or another project-driven industry
