Leave Specialist
ConnectBridge, an ancillary business of Cozen O'Connor is seeking a Leave Specialist. This is a remote role based in the contiguous United States.
The Leave Specialist is responsible for administering the leave policies and procedures, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and state and local leave laws. The Leave Specialist will also provide support to employees and managers regarding leave-related issues.
Responsibilities
- Administer leave policies and procedures, including the FMLA, the ADA, the PWFA and state and local leave laws.
- Process leave requests and documentation timely.
- Gather and analyze information to determine employee eligibility for leave.
- Approve or deny leave requests, using sound, inclusive reasoning and judgment.
- Communicate with employees and managers regarding leave-related issues.
- Provide training to employees and managers on leave policies and procedures.
- Maintain leave records and reports.
- Stay up-to-date on changes to leave laws and regulations.
- Performs additional duties assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in leave administration.
- Strong knowledge of the FMLA, the ADA, and state and local leave laws.
- Sound decision making capabilities and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 and represents the Firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications and location.
