Role: Java + Node.js Full Stack Engineer Location: New York, NY / Remote Employment Type: Full-Time Work Arrangement: Remote or New York-based Experience: 10+ years preferred About the Role We are looking for a talented Java + Node.js Full Stack Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining scalable, high-performance applications across both backend and frontend technologies. The ideal candidate is a strong hands-on engineer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, REST APIs, databases, and modern frontend frameworks. You should be comfortable working in a collaborative Agile environment and taking ownership of features from design through production. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.
• Build robust backend services and microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js.
• Develop modern, responsive web applications using React or Angular.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Develop secure, reliable, and high-performance distributed applications.
• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
• Develop unit, integration, and automated tests.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA Engineers, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Work with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Continuously evaluate new technologies and improve application performance, scalability, and reliability.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java 11/17+.
• Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
• Professional experience with Node.js and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Experience with React, Angular, or another modern frontend framework.
• Strong SQL and database development experience.
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Experience with unit and integration testing.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Docker, and cloud-based application development.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or other NoSQL technologies.
• Experience designing highly available and fault-tolerant systems.
• Familiarity with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum development.
• Experience with observability tools, logging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools and modern GenAI technologies.
