Title: Process Engineer GMP
Location: Vacaville, CA
Pay Rate: $55-65/Hr on W2
Project Description:
We are seeking multiple mid level process engineers who have prior experience supporting upstream and or downstream biologics manufacturing in GMP environments. The individual will support engineering design, equipment upgrades, commissioning, implementation, and startup activities for capital projects.
There are two brownfield projects ongoing right now one is leaving the feasibility study now and the other is tied to an older asset (cell culture plant) where they are currently ripping out downstream equipment such as : (VRF Skids, CIP Skids, Fillers) for the upgrade of process capabilities to last approximately 20 plus months in duration.
Daily duties of the contractor?
Provide day-to-day process engineering support for upstream and downstream pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
Support modernization and replacement of legacy manufacturing equipment and process systems.
Assist Lead Process Engineers with engineering design packages and system modifications.
Develop PFDs, review P&IDs, equipment specifications, engineering calculations, and technical reports.
Support with engineering construction requirements
Review engineering drawings and vendor documentation.
Coordinate with CapEx, Operations, Manufacturing, Maintenance, and Validation teams.
Support commissioning, startup, qualification, and change control activities.
Troubleshoot process equipment and manufacturing systems.
Ensure compliance with GMP regulations and engineering standards.
Participate in FAT, SAT, commissioning, and engineering turnover.
Skills:
Bachelor's Degree ideally in Engineering (will accept candidates on a case by case basis if they have a scientific degree with good industry experience)
5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology process engineering experience.
Experience supporting upstream and downstream engineering in a GMP manufacturing environment.
Experience with WFI, process piping, HVAC, chilled water, clean steam, CIP/SIP systems.
Experience supporting CapEx projects in GMP facilities.
Ability to work full-time onsite in Vacaville, CA.
