Forklift Operator/Material Handler

Hire Up Staffing is seeking a dependable and experienced Warehouse Material Handler / Forklift Operator for a one-month temporary assignment. This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment, operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment, and performing physical work throughout the day.


Pay Rate: $17–$19/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Assignment: 1-Month Temporary Contract
Potential: Potential for extension or temp-to-hire based on business needs

Job Responsibilities

• Pick and pull materials accurately based on customer orders and order slips.
• Read labels, tickets, and product documentation to ensure orders are pulled correctly.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment, including pallet jacks, reach trucks, cherry pickers, walking riders, EZGo carts, hand trucks, and dollies.
• Load, unload, move, and organize materials throughout the warehouse.
• Bring pallets down and manually load materials onto racks and shelves.
• Assist with receiving and putting away incoming materials as needed.
• Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Lift, push, carry, and slide materials weighing up to 75 pounds regularly.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous forklift experience is required.
• Ability to regularly lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to accurately read order slips, labels, tickets, and other written instructions.
• Basic math and counting skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Strong time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout the warehouse for the duration of the shift.
• Comfortable working in various warehouse temperatures and conditions.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
