Job description
Manifest Solutions is currently seeking a Program Manager for a position in Corpus Christi, TX.
- Develop the program management governance framework for the PMO, defining standards, methodology, and control gates that apply consistently across all programs in the portfolio.
- Establish program management policies covering scope, schedule, risk, issue, change, and stakeholder management.
- Define standard templates and tools for program management activities, including charters, schedules, risk registers, status reports, and change logs.
- Establish a standard reporting cadence and status reporting format for program performance at both the program and portfolio level.
- Define a Program Manager competency framework describing the skills, behaviors, and practices expected of Program Managers across the portfolio.
- Designing and delivering training on program management best practices and on the PMO's governance framework and tools.
- Providing day-to-day coaching to Program Managers as they work through real issues on their programs, helping them apply program management best practices and develop as leaders through real-time guidance rather than a fixed coaching curriculum or schedule.
- Making coaching support available to Program Managers across the portfolio on an as-needed basis.
- Recommending individual development focus areas for Program Managers where gaps in skill or practice are identified through this day-to-day engagement, for PMO leadership's use in workforce development planning.
- Identify issues and bottlenecks in current program management practices across the portfolio.
- Identify inefficiencies in existing program management processes, tools, and reporting activities.
- Identify redundant or duplicative processes, tools, and reporting requirements, both within individual programs and across the portfolio.
- Bring forward recommended process improvements to PMO leadership, with supporting rationale and expected impact.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience building program management governance, standards, or methodology within a PMO, ideally within capital construction, utility, or infrastructure programs.
- Experience designing and delivering program or project management training curricula.
- Experience coaching or mentoring Program Managers or Project Managers to develop leadership capability.
- Working knowledge of program and project management methodology consistent with recognized industry standards.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience identifying process inefficiencies and driving process improvement, ideally with formal process improvement training or certification.
- Program or project management certification (such as PMP or equivalent) preferred.
