Job Description
We are looking for a Construction Coordinator to coordinate and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This position will be Full-Time, Contract and On-Site in Pasadena, TX.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate construction projects and schedule activities
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
- Monitor project progress and identify potential issues
- Manage project budgets and expenses
- Provide regular updates on project status to management
- Manage critical lifts and other crane activities
- Oversee welding activities and ensure compliance with standards.
- Read and interpret P&IDs, complete job walks, and perform material take-offs
- Estimate field construction activities, including manpower requirements
- Use and manage project schedules in Primavera P6, interpret priorities, and provide daily updates
- Promote and lead client safety culture in the field.
- Communicate effectively with field teams and upper-level management as required
- Travel extensively to support projects and turnarounds across North America
What You'll Need
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field
- Previous experience in construction coordination or project management
- Experience managing critical lifts and crane activities
- Knowledge of welding standards and ability to manage welding activities
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, complete job walks, and perform material take-offs
- Knowledge of estimating field construction activities and manpower needs
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Primavera P6 for scheduling and progress updates
- Strong communication skills to manage field activities and present to upper-level management
- Valid TWIC card
- Willingness to complete site-specific courses based on field assignment
- Ability to travel extensively across North America and obtain a passport for entry to Canada
- Safety-focused mindset and leadership in promoting safety culture
Physical Demands
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
- Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person.
- Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time, with occasional need to move around the office or construction site.
- Ability to perform fieldwork, including walking, climbing, and standing
