You will have the opportunity to manage the day-to-day functions of two sites, along with general administrative assistance in the implementation of a high-quality preschool program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designated to be in charge in the absence of the Director.
- Responsible for opening and/or closing the preschool daily.
- Splits time between two locations alternating with and as designated by the Sr. Program Director
- Serves as a point of contact for staff and parents.
- Ensures compliance with CACFP and Health Department regulations.
- Reviews and ensures implementation of weekly lesson plans.
- Creates and posts weekly teacher scheduling.
- Assists with training new teachers on curriculum and practices.
- Performs daily observations of TN-ELDS implementation.
- Collaborates with leadership staff to organize events and family engagement efforts.
- Manages inventory of supplies for preschool.
- Updates hallway bulletin boards and decoration of facility common areas.
- Assists with annual licensing requirements and assessment preparations.
- Maintains complete student records and health/safety standards for staff.
- Ensures program personnel complete training requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two or more years of college training or DHS recognized credential.
- 1-2 years related group care experience as a supervisor of childcare programs.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Fulfillment of state-specific hiring standards.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse populations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Walking, stooping, standing, bending, crouching, sitting, hearing, seeing, keyboarding, gross manipulation, lifting up to 50 lbs.
