Apparel Product Developer

A leading apparel brand is seeking a temporary Apparel Product Developer to join their team in Irvine, CA. This 6-month contract role involves managing the entire product development lifecycle from concept to production handoff. The position requires on-site work Monday-Thursday.

Apparel Product Developer Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development process of apparel samples from initial design to production readiness.
• Communicate and consolidate feedback on design, fit, and construction with manufacturing partners.
• Maintain detailed development documentation, including tracking tools and seasonal product info.
• Ensure timely approvals for fabrics, trims, prints, and colors through proactive communication.
• Collaborate across teams to resolve issues, monitor timelines, and support product line transitions.

Apparel Product Developer Qualifications:

• Minimum of 4 years' experience in apparel product development or related fields.
• Deep understanding of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and manufacturing.
• Proven success managing multiple project schedules and approvals.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Illustrator.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills; experience working with domestic or international manufacturers is a plus.
