Position Overview
Stand-By Personnel is seeking an experienced Drafter for a temp-to-hire opportunity in Tulsa. This position is responsible for creating, modifying, and maintaining technical drawings, layouts, schematics, and blueprints using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of drafting experience, strong CAD proficiency, and the ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and design requirements.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable collaborating with Engineers, Project Managers, and Production personnel to ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and meet applicable company and industry standards.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 2 years of drafting experience required
Proficiency with CAD software
Ability to create and revise technical drawings
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
Strong blueprint-reading skills
Ability to understand technical specifications and design requirements
Experience preparing detailed layouts and schematics
Strong attention to dimensional accuracy and detail
Ability to maintain organized drawing files and documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
Ability to work independently and collaborate with multiple departments
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Create technical drawings using CAD software
Revise existing drawings according to project requirements
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Prepare detailed layouts, schematics, and blueprints
Review design requirements before beginning drafting work
Incorporate approved drawing revisions
Verify drawing accuracy and completeness
Ensure drawings meet applicable company standards
Follow relevant industry drafting requirements
Collaborate with Engineers on technical drawings
Coordinate with Project Managers regarding design requirements
Work with Production personnel to clarify drawing information
Update existing drawing files
Maintain organized electronic documentation
Track applicable drawing revisions
Communicate technical discrepancies or concerns
Perform additional drafting and documentation duties as assigned
CAD Drafting & Design
Candidates will regularly use CAD software to:
Create new technical drawings
Modify existing designs
Prepare detailed layouts
Develop schematics
Produce manufacturing or engineering drawings
Incorporate design changes
Maintain accurate dimensions
Update technical documentation
Prepare drawings for review or production use
Strong CAD skills are essential for maintaining accuracy and efficiency throughout the drafting process.

The Drafter will work closely with:
