What’s a typical day as Data Entry Operator I? You’ll be:
- Entering alphanumeric data from various sources (paper, electronic, phone) into the company database.
- Handling, sorting, and filing paperwork and boxes (up to 15-20 boxes/day, each 25-50 lbs.).
- Checking data for accuracy and completeness and maintaining proper record order and sequence.
- Meeting established production rates and quality standards for data entry tasks.
- Performing general office duties such as typing, sorting mail, and operating office machines.
- Advising supervisors of any issues requiring immediate attention and participating in safety drills.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent (required).
- Can type at least 50 words per minute (required).
- Are proficient with basic computer systems, including Microsoft Office Excel.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Can routinely lift, push, and pull boxes weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Are able to sit or stand for long periods and perform tasks involving bending, stretching, and overhead reaching.
- Communicate effectively in English with clients, coworkers, and management.
- Can work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Are adaptable to long project durations and changing priorities.
