This internship will be based at a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center in one of the following Virginia areas: Newport News, Yorktown, Hampton Roads, or Gloucester.

We believe that strong relationships and welcoming experiences are essential to helping patients and families navigate their healthcare journey. Guided by our core values of Passion, Respect, and Excellence, the Healthcare Sales Intern works alongside our Admissions Director and center leadership to gain hands-on experience in admissions, sales, marketing, and community outreach.

Responsibilities for Healthcare Sales Intern:

• Support the Admissions Director with daily admissions office operations, including incoming referrals and inquiries.

• Assist with phone outreach and follow-up with patients, families, referral sources, and healthcare partners.

• Learn the admissions process from initial inquiry through admission, helping coordinate a positive patient and family experience.

• Assist with tracking referrals, follow-ups, outcomes, and admissions activity.

• Support sales, marketing, community outreach, networking events, and center-based initiatives.

• Gain experience building relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, social workers, and community partners.

• Collaborate with admissions, clinical, operations, and sales teams to learn the business side of healthcare.

Qualifications for Healthcare Sales & Admissions Intern:

• Currently pursuing a degree in business, marketing, sales, healthcare administration, communications, public relations, or a related field.

• Interest in a career in healthcare admissions, sales, marketing, or business development.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence making phone calls and connecting with others.

• Organized, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Professional, outgoing, and eager to learn through active participation.
