Workforce Solutions Alamo is a nonprofit organization that serves as the leadership and governing body for the region's workforce development system. Workforce Solutions Alamo is responsible for over $100 million dollar budget consisting in local, state, and federal funds. Our mission is Working to Strengthen the Alamo regional economy by growing and connecting talent pipelines to employers. Workforce Solutions Alamo is governed by a 27-member Board of Directors that reflects the diverse constituencies of the regional community: business, economic development, education, labor, community organizations, and government. Our service area includes the counties of Atascosa, Bandera, Bexar, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, McMullen, and Wilson.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Under the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance the Data Analyst for Network Engagement and Performance designs and develops methods and systems to consolidate and analyze large and complex sets of data to generate insights and solutions in support of Workforce Solutions Alamo.
The Data Analyst uses software programs and statistical methods to analyze data and generate useful business reports and visualizations used to draw insights into network performance. Identifies, collects, summarizes, and analyzes data related to key business priorities and organizational initiatives. Communicates data findings, issues, and recommendations to support timely and informed decision-making. Works with management to prioritize business and information needs. Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
An individual must be able to perform each essential duty listed below at a satisfactory level:
• Consult with team to prioritize key data sources, conduct analysis, identify key performance indicators, and create dashboards and reports.
• Collects, cleans, and analyzes data from various sources to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Assists with data analysis to help identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.
• Communicates complex data insights in a clear and understandable manner to non-technical audiences.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver relevant data-driven solutions.
• Follows data privacy and security compliance in all data handling and processing activities.
• Optimizes and automates data analysis processes where possible to enhance efficiency.
• May assist in the preparation of written reports, summaries, and presentations.
• Performs related duties, manages projects and fulfills responsibilities as required.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and communicate insights and findings from analysis.
• Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
• Develop and maintain effective strategies to track progress regarding data department goals.
• Serve as a point of contact for data access, ad hoc reporting, and data visualization requests.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
• Knowledge of any statistical software, such as SAS, R, or SPSS is a plus.
• Strong skills with Microsoft Office, particularly with Tableau, Power- BI, Word and PowerPoint.
• Python knowledge/experience is a plus.
• Must have demonstrated research and project management skills, possessed a strong work ethic, and enjoy working collaboratively.
• Exceptional written and oral communication, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must be comfortable working in an executive, fast-paced office with tight deadlines.
• Confidentiality is extremely important.
• Ability to work independently or under minimal supervision.
• Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross functional teams to get desired results.
• Advanced Excel proficiency
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
• Minimum of two (2) years of progressive experience in a similar role. Knowledge or experience as an analyst or strong analytic background preferred.
• An equivalent combination of experience, training, and/or education approved by the agency.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Will require occasional in-region and out-of-region travel; Must have proof of valid driver’s license and current auto insurance; must provide own transportation when on company business.
