About the Opportunity
Peak to Creek Precision Staffing is recruiting a Platform Engineer on behalf of our client for a potential opportunity supporting secure cloud and on-premises environments.
Hands-on experience with telemetry is the highest-priority qualification for this role. We’re seeking someone who combines that experience with strong infrastructure engineering, Linux automation, container orchestration, and DevSecOps skills.
What You’ll Do
- Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Ansible.
- Package and deploy applications to Kubernetes using Helm.
- Configure and harden cloud and on-premises systems to meet applicable security standards.
- Build and support CI/CD pipelines for secure, repeatable software delivery.
- Integrate commercial and open-source tools into secure environments.
- Deploy monitoring, logging, and dashboards to track system health and containerized workload performance.
- Automate Linux operations using Python and Bash.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues, remediate vulnerabilities, and improve deployment efficiency.
- Incorporate security throughout infrastructure provisioning and release processes.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on telemetry experience — the most important qualification for this opportunity.
- Active Top Secret clearance, ability to obtain SCI access, and willingness to undergo a CI polygraph.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Security+ certification.
- Proficiency in Linux administration, troubleshooting, and security hardening.
- Experience with AWS, Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, and EKS Auto Mode.
- Experience with Chef and configuration management.
- Strong scripting and automation skills.
- Experience integrating systems and configuring resources across cloud and on-premises environments.
Preferred Experience
- Broad knowledge of servers, networking, storage, and virtualization.
- AWS architecture and integration.
- DevSecOps practices that incorporate security into infrastructure and delivery workflows.
- Monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Promtail, and Loki.
- Python and Bash scripting for Linux automation.
- CI/CD tooling such as Jenkins, GitLab, and Artifactory, along with Jira and Confluence.
- Integrating commercial off-the-shelf and free, open-source technologies into secure environments.
