A Day in the Life
Start of shift: Review electronic work orders, prioritize tasks, and plan predictive and preventative maintenance activities that support production goals.
On the floor: Diagnose and resolve issues on automated assembly equipment and robotic cells—electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic. Fabricate or adjust components as needed to return systems to service safely and quickly.
Deep dive: Perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence, feeding insights into continuous improvement projects and future maintenance plans.
Partnering up: Collaborate with engineering on plant improvements and new equipment debugging to prepare for future production needs.
Wrap-up: Complete detailed electronic work order documentation and hand off effectively to support coverage across shifts.
What You’ll Do
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; perform fabrication and equipment adjustments.
Execute preventative and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment.
Maintain and service robotic manufacturing equipment.
Complete electronic work order forms thoroughly for all tasks performed.
Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
Work independently with minimal supervision to complete assignments on time.
Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives.
Partner with the engineering team on plant improvement projects.

Maintain mechanical and electrical components on an automotive component assembly line.

What You Bring
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
Demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitude; low-voltage installation and troubleshooting.
Robotics experience is a plus (not required).
Hands-on experience repairing mechanical and pneumatic systems.
Familiarity with tool room equipment (lathes, grinders, welding and fabricating tools, Bridgeport, drill press, etc.).
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Comfort working cross-functionally on continuous improvement, process troubleshooting, and problem-solving groups.
