Web Back End Developer
Location: Alexandria, VA (On-site)

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Web Back End Developer to design, build, test, integrate, and deploy Web Back End Components supporting the Website Modernization initiative and the implementation of Web Back End Developer Mobile App 2.0. The selected resource will provide application development, system configuration, testing, production deployment, and ongoing technical support for applicable Web Back End Developer components and dependencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze business and technical requirements, then design, develop, and implement effective technical solutions.
- Evaluate customer needs and recommend practical solutions that align with system, security, and operational requirements.
- Build, configure, integrate, test, and deploy backend application components supporting Web Back End Developer Website Modernization and Mobile App 2.0.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolution of issues involving application architecture, system design, integration, and deployment.
- Review functional and technical design documentation and recommend approval of system implementations, program enhancements, and web application updates.
- Assess proposed system changes to determine feasibility, identify alternative solutions, and establish appropriate backup and recovery procedures.
- Support upgrades and enhancements for the General Orders Track Rights System, Site-Specific Work Plan applications, and related existing systems while ensuring compliance with approved standards.
- Complete mandatory security awareness training annually and comply with applicable security policies and procedures.
- Assist with system hardening activities, vulnerability remediation, and secure application configuration.
- Participate in mandatory peer code reviews before code is merged into the primary development branch. Verify compliance with secure coding practices and document pull request reviews in Bitbucket.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with C#, .NET Core, and Oracle technologies.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience using methods, tools, and techniques to evaluate, select, develop, test, integrate, and troubleshoot systems software and hardware.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience supporting diversified technical information systems and data processing environments.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience developing multi-tier applications, including web services, APIs, clustered environments, databases, application servers, and reporting servers.
- Minimum of 5 years of proficiency with software development, lifecycle and project management methodologies.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience developing or enhancing General Orders Track Rights System and Site-Specific Work Plan applications.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience with Jira, Confluence, TestRail, Git, Bitbucket, and related software development tools.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience supporting fare payment or transit applications such as Web Back End Developer. Highly Desired.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Master's degree in an information technology-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of advanced education and relevant experience. Highly Desired.
