Job Title: Network Security Technician / Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL ( Hybrid)

Employment Type: Contract

Pay Range: $45/hr - $55/hr

- Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network security infrastructure.

• Support daily firewall operations, administration, and monitoring.

• Assist with the deployment, maintenance, and management of security devices.

• Perform hands-on data center activities, including network cabling, equipment racking, and hardware deployment.

• Administer and support Cisco Firepower Management Center (FMC) and Firepower Threat Defense (FTD).

• Work with Cisco ASA and Fortinet firewalls to support network security requirements.

• Assist with security infrastructure upgrades, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with network and security teams to resolve technical issues.

• Work under the guidance of senior network security engineers to ensure operational stability and security.

- Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Firepower (FMC/FTD).

• Experience with Cisco ASA and Fortinet firewalls.

• Strong understanding of firewall administration and network security operations.

• Experience with data center activities, including cabling, racking, and hardware deployment.

• Troubleshooting skills and the ability to support day-to-day security operations.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience administering Cisco FMC and supporting ongoing firewall operations.

• Exposure to Gigamon network visibility solutions.

• Familiarity with Trellix security products.

• Experience supporting enterprise network security infrastructure.
