MS SQL & Cloud Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior MS SQL & Cloud Database Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize SQL Server and cloud database environments while providing application and database support.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, administer, and maintain database uptime, connectivity, and security.
• Tune long-running SQL queries and optimize database performance.
• Perform SQL Server installations, upgrades, patching, migrations, and failover clustering setup.
• Review existing database workflows, propose structural improvements, and leverage OS scripting for diagnostics.
• Provide tier-level database troubleshooting and help desk application support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• MS SQL Server Management: 2+ years of experience with SQL Server database administration, high availability (clustering/mirroring), and installation/upgrades.
• Performance Tuning: 1+ years of database and T-SQL query performance tuning experience.
• Transact-SQL (T-SQL): 1+ years of experience coding and debugging T-SQL scripts.
• Cloud Database Experience: 1+ years (or relevant certification) in Azure, Snowflake, or Databricks.
• Platform & OS: Strong experience working on Windows platforms and using OS scripting utilities.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• BI Suite: Experience with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS.
• Data Modeling: Familiarity with foundational data modeling principles.
• Recent Versions: Hands-on experience with SQL Server 2019/2022+.
