Drive day-to-day execution and delivery of the next-generation Data Lakehouse platform for Department of War cyber operators.
Coordinate Application, Data, and Infrastructure engineering teams to turn the prioritized roadmap into shipped, deployed, and accredited software.
Own the release train end to end, including cross-team dependencies, schedules, risks, communication, and delivery cadence.
Drive monthly sprints and quarterly releases; translate the roadmap into milestone-driven delivery plans.
Convert roadmap priorities into sprint-ready backlog items with acceptance criteria; manage intake and feature validation.
Orchestrate code-complete-to-deployment release processes, integration testing, and go/no-go readiness decisions.
Map and unblock cross-team dependencies to minimize schedule slips.
Maintain risk registers and drive resolution escalations for schedule, technical, and security risks.
Track program budgets, burn rates, and forecasts.
Shepherd security artifacts through customer scanning and RMF/ATO authorization.
Establish reporting mechanisms, release notes, and synchronization cadences for engineering and government stakeholders.
Facilitate technical tradeoff discussions involving Lakehouse, Kubernetes, and IAM architecture.
Represent the platform to cyber stakeholders through release announcements and live demonstrations.
Support proposals with delivery plans and technical inputs.
Own support and community-request triage and improve release processes.
Define metrics for predictability, cycle time, and defect rates to improve continuous delivery.
Requirements:
Must obtain and maintain a Secret level U.S. Government Security Clearance; clearance is not required on day one.
U.S. Citizenship required.
8+ years in DoW cyber, agile software development, and/or big data with a B.A. in Business, a technical field, or related; or 6 years relevant experience with a Master's in a related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant experience.
5+ years of experience in a Technical Program Manager, Program Manager, Delivery Lead, or equivalent role responsible for driving software delivery within an Agile development environment.
Demonstrated success driving complex, multi-team software programs to completion.
Ability to lead through influence rather than authority.
Understanding of modern data architectures, including data lakes, data lakehouses, data warehousing, and big data technologies.
Ability to work effectively with DoW or other Federal Government customers, including procurement and accreditation processes.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability and willingness to travel occasionally, up to 10% CONUS and OCONUS.
Ability to work from a home office within the U.S.; flexibility to adapt to schedule changes.
Active Secret or Top Secret clearance is preferred.
DoD 8140 / 8570 compliance certifications may be required as directed by the customer.
Program/project management or agile certifications are preferred.
Cybersecurity domain experience is preferred.
Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, AWS/Azure data services, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and GitOps-based deployment is preferred.
Experience with RMF/ATO, container hardening, or vulnerability-scanning pipelines is preferred.
Experience establishing TPM functions, backlog refinement, acceptance-criteria validation, customer-facing technical roles, program financial management, proposal development, and cybersecurity data lifecycles is preferred.
