Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: Cardiothoracic surgery experience is preferred. High-acuity surgical support in cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries is required. General OR proficiency is needed, with the ability to circulate across core service lines. License: RN License must be unrestricted and active. License must be valid in the required state or provide proof of a compact license. Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications are required. Certifications must be through the American Heart Association. Must-Have: Experience scrubbing cardiothoracic cases is preferred. EMR experience with EPIC is required. A brief orientation of 16 hours is required. Description: We are a multi-service Level-II Trauma Center with 15 surgical suites, including a hybrid OR. We have a team of cardiothoracic and vascular surgeons. On-call shifts include four weekday shifts and four weekend shifts per month. Weekend shifts cover both day and night hours. All candidates must have specialty experience within the last year. Additional requirements include NIH and stroke education for RNs. Candidates must keep requests for time off to a minimum during assignments. Prior permanent employees must have been gone for at least six months before applying for travel positions.
