Job Type: Full-Time
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Entry-Level Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team in Raleigh, NC. In this role, you will work directly alongside a Senior Electrical Engineer mentor to develop mixed-signal hardware, including both analog and digital circuit design.
Your core focus will involve ECAD CAD library management, symbol generation, and schematic capture inside Altium Designer, as well as hands-on hardware bring-up, testing, and fine-pitch Surface Mount Technology (SMT) rework in our engineering lab.
This position is offered as a hybrid work schedule (up to 2 days remote per week), with mandatory on-site presence required during active prototype bring-up, testing, and hardware rework cycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Altium Designer Library Management: Create, organize, and maintain component libraries, including schematic symbols, PCB footprints, and 3D models according to company and industry standards.
- Schematic Capture: Perform schematic entry for analog and digital circuits under the guidance of senior engineering staff.
- Hardware Bring-up & Verification: Participate in lab bring-up, functional testing, troubleshooting, and validation of newly fabricated printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs).
- Board Rework & Assembly: Perform fine-pitch SMT hand soldering, component replacement, trace cuts, and wire jumps for prototype board modification and debugging.
- Documentation & Design Support: Maintain accurate bill of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs), and test reports.
- Collaborative Learning: Actively engage in technical mentorship, design reviews, and continuous skill development with senior engineering team members.
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) required at minimum, OR

- Technical Skills:
- Fundamental understanding of analog and digital circuit design principles.
- Practical experience or exposure to Altium Designer (or equivalent ECAD software) for schematic capture and symbol creation.
- Demonstrated hands-on SMT hand soldering and unsoldering skills for small-footprint components (e.g., 0603/0402 passives, SOIC, QFN packages).
- Security & Citizenship:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
- Location & Work Schedule:
- Ability to work in-person at our Raleigh, NC facility for a minimum of 3 days per week, with flexibility to be fully on-site during critical board bring-up and lab work phases.
