Role Descriptions: Analyze and refine stakeholder requirements into detailed system requirements for Lithium-Ion Battery Systems, Super Capacitor Modules (SCAP), and Battery Management Systems (BMS). Develop, document, and maintain system requirements including functional, non-functional, performance, diagnostic, safety, cybersecurity, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Define system operational concepts, use cases, modes, states, interfaces, constraints, and acceptance criteria. Ensure system requirements are complete, consistent, feasible, verifiable, and traceable. Allocate and structure system requirements to support system architecture development and downstream hardware/software implementation. Establish and maintain bidirectional traceability between stakeholder requirements, system requirements, safety requirements, cybersecurity requirements, and verification artifacts. Collaborate with customers, system architects, software, hardware, validation, functional safety, and cybersecurity teams to resolve requirement ambiguities and conflicts. Perform impact analysis of requirement changes and support change management activities. Conduct system requirement reviews and ensure Automotive SPICE SYS.2 compliant work products, baselines, and configuration management. Support requirement-driven development for Lithium-Ion and Super Capacitor product platforms.
Essential Skills: Strong expertise in system requirements engineering, requirement analysis, requirement decomposition, requirement specification, traceability, and change management. Strong knowledge of Lithium-Ion battery systems, Super Capacitor modules, and Battery Management System (BMS) functions including SOC, SOH, SOP, cell balancing, thermal management, charging/discharging control, fault monitoring, diagnostics, protection mechanisms, and power management. Hands-on experience with ASPICE SYS.2 process area and requirements quality criteria. Ability to develop clear, unambiguous, verifiable, and testable system requirements. Experience defining system interfaces, operational concepts, use cases, and system constraints. Strong analytical, communication, and customer interaction skills.
Desirable Skills: Knowledge of ASPICE SYS.1 and SYS.3 process areas. Understanding of ISO 26262 Functional Safety requirements engineering and ISO/SAE 21434 Cybersecurity requirements engineering. Experience with low-voltage (12V/24V/48V) and high-voltage battery systems. Exposure to Sodium-Ion batteries, Super Capacitor applications, vehicle electrification, and energy storage systems. Experience working with automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers.
