Hotel Custodian / Houseperson

Equinox Staffing Solutions is hiring a full-time Hotel Custodian / Houseperson to help keep a hospitality property clean, safe, and welcoming. This hands-on role combines janitorial cleaning, property upkeep, light maintenance, and basic housekeeping support. Training on property routines will be provided.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and clean windows and shared areas according to the cleaning schedule.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and empty trash and recycling containers.

• Keep walkways and outdoor common areas tidy and free of litter.

• Complete light maintenance tasks, such as replacing light bulbs, within your training and supervisor's instructions.

• Report repair needs, damage, hazards, and maintenance concerns promptly.

• Help housekeeping with simple duties, including making beds and keeping work areas organized.

• Use cleaning products and equipment safely, place wet-floor signs, and follow safety procedures.

• Keep supplies organized and tell the supervisor when items need replenishing.

• Complete assigned tasks on time and maintain cleaning logs as directed.

• Work courteously with guests and coworkers while respecting guest privacy and belongings.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Dependable, punctual, honest, and willing to learn.

• Familiarity with basic cleaning methods and safe use of cleaning supplies.

• Able to follow instructions, communicate clearly, and work independently and as part of a team.

• Able to perform active cleaning duties, including standing, walking, bending, and routine handling of supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous custodian, janitor, houseperson, housekeeping, or light-maintenance experience is a plus.
