Job description
Position : AS400/RPG Developer
Location : Montgomery, AL Onsite
Duration : Long term contract
Interview : Either onsite or Microsoft teams
They can consider candidates in Alabama but they will need someone who can work in Montgomery onsite. They are not open for someone who will be relocating out of state.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Maintain and enhance the ADPH Vital Statistics System
- Develop and modify RPG applications
- Troubleshoot production issues
- Perform testing and validation
- Document changes and procedures
- Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders
- Support enterprise metrics initiatives
Requirements:
- 8+ years of verifiable RPG programming experience
- IBM AS400 platform experience
- Experience within the last 12-15 years
- Business-critical application support experience

- CL/400
- RPG/400
- ILE RPG
- SQL RPGLE
- IBM AS400 Environment
Core Skills:
- Systems analysis and design
- Application development and maintenance
- Production support and troubleshooting
- Debugging and issue resolution

- Ability to work independently
