My client is looking for a hands-on Principal Kafka Engineer to drive the design and administration of our high-availability ecosystem in Cincinnati!

Experience: 10+ Years
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Cluster Management: Drive the design, deployment, and administration of enterprise-scale Apache Kafka & Confluent Platform clusters.
Architect Solutions: Optimize Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, Avro, and KSQL/ksqlDB.
Build & Automate: Develop distributed microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
Scale Infrastructure: Manage ZooKeeper/KRaft transitions, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Ensure Performance: Champion production tuning, observability, low-latency, and high availability.

What You Need to Bring:
10+ years in Software Development or Systems Engineering.
5+ years of dedicated, hands-on Kafka/Confluent administration.
Strong proficiency in Java and distributed microservices architecture.
Deep experience with CI/CD (GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code
