Dental Patient Care Coordinator

Position Summary

We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and dependable Patient Care Coordinator to join our dental team. This role is essential to creating a welcoming patient experience and keeping our front office running smoothly, from scheduling appointments to coordinating payments and insurance claims.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, communicates well, pays attention to detail, and can comfortably multitask in a busy dental office.

Responsibilities

Patient Care and Communication

• Welcome patients and provide a warm, positive experience.
• Answer phone calls, texts, and messages promptly and professionally.
• Assist patients with appointments, treatment questions, insurance, and account balances.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.

Scheduling and Front-Office Operations

• Schedule, confirm, and manage appointments using Dentrix.
• Check patients in and out and keep patient records accurate and up to date.
• Coordinate with the clinical team to keep the daily schedule running smoothly.
• Fill appointment openings and reduce cancellations.

Payments and Insurance

• Collect patient payments and accurately post transactions.
• Submit dental insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims.
• Assist with insurance verification, benefit questions, and claim issues.
• Maintain accurate financial and insurance records.

Team and Office Support

• Keep the front office organized and professional.
• Communicate effectively with the doctor, office manager, and clinical team.
• Complete daily administrative tasks and support the team as needed.

Qualifications

• Dental front-office experience preferred.
• Familiarity with dental insurance and claims processing preferred.
• Experience with Dentrix.
• Strong communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Friendly, professional, and compassionate approach to patient care.
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking.
• Ability to work independently while being a supportive team member.
