Part Time AI & Computer Science Teacher

Maarif School is seeking a knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and innovative AI & Computer Science Teacher to join our academic team.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science, artificial intelligence, and technology education, with the ability to make complex concepts engaging and accessible to students.


Key Responsibilities

• Teach Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence courses to middle and high school students.
• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
• Introduce students to programming, coding, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.
• Teach fundamental concepts of computer science, including algorithms, computational thinking, and problem-solving.
• Provide hands-on learning experiences through coding projects, AI applications, and technology-based activities.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Promote responsible and ethical use of AI and digital technologies.
• Maintain a positive, structured, and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with school administration and faculty to support academic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching experience in middle or high school preferred.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript.
• Familiarity with AI tools, machine learning concepts, and educational technology.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to students with different learning abilities.
• Passion for education, innovation, and student development.
• New Jersey teaching certification preferred.

Preferred Skills

• Experience teaching coding, robotics, or STEM-related subjects.
• Familiarity with AI platforms and tools such as ChatGPT and other educational AI applications.
• Experience developing project-based and interactive learning activities.
• Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction.
