Position:

• Commercial Boiler Installer / Pipefitter Location: Chicago, IL 60657 Pay: $45–$55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications Job Type: Direct Hire | Nonunion Position Overview Superior Skilled Trades is partnered with a company seeking an experienced Pipefitter or Commercial Plumber to lead the installation and replacement of steam boilers, hydronic boilers, and commercial water heaters throughout the Chicago area.
• This position focuses on multi-family residential buildings, apartment complexes, and other commercial properties.
• The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with commercial boiler installations, strong mechanical piping skills, and the ability to independently lead installations from planning and material preparation through startup and project completion.
• This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tradesperson looking to join a growing team, take ownership of projects, and perform high-quality installation work with minimal supervision.
• Pay and Benefits $45–$55 per hour, based on experience and qualifications PPO health insurance 401(k) with company matching up to 5% Profit-sharing opportunities Annual bonus of approximately 10% Company van and gas card Key Responsibilities Lead the installation and replacement of steam boilers, hydronic boilers, and commercial water heaters.
• Lay out, measure, fabricate, and install mechanical-room piping, pumps, valves, and associated equipment.
• Read and interpret piping diagrams, project specifications, and manufacturer installation instructions.
• Plan materials, organize daily work activities, and coordinate installation tasks.
• Direct and support other installers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.
• Coordinate equipment removal, placement, and system shutdowns as required.
• Troubleshoot field conditions and resolve installation challenges.
• Communicate project progress, material needs, and field issues with the office and customers.
• Coordinate system testing, startup, and final project completion.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite while delivering professional workmanship.
• Qualifications Proven hands-on experience installing commercial boilers and mechanical piping systems.
• Working knowledge of steam and hydronic heating systems.
• Experience installing commercial water heaters.
• Strong pipe layout, measurement, fabrication, and installation skills.
• Ability to independently lead installations and make sound field decisions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read and follow piping diagrams, specifications, and equipment installation requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and committed to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.

Commercial plumbers with substantial commercial boiler installation experience are encouraged to apply.
