ETL/BI Application Engineer – Informatica, Cognos

Job Description:

• Install, configure, update, optimize, monitor, and troubleshoot Informatica and Cognos applications in large MMIS operating environments
• Collaborate with other teams on deliverables
• Respond to tickets and inquiries within the expected time
• Provide timely correspondence on actions and status as well as meetings
• Perform company administrative activities including mandatory training, time keeping, goal/performance activities, and compliance with policies, processes, and procedures
• Work outside business hours to implement projects or system changes when needed
• Install and maintain Cognos and Informatica across the life cycle of operating environments for multiple clients
• Optimize performance and install updates and vulnerability fixes

Requirements:

• Discipline and integrity to work with US based teams and communicate effectively
• 5+ years hands-on experience with Cognos v11 and v12 and Informatica Power Center v10.x, IDMC and CDI-PC on Linux
• Experience configuring authentication (LDAP, Active Directory, SSO)
• Experience managing Cognos servers, gateways, dispatchers, and content store databases
• Experience deploying and migrating Cognos reports and Informatica code across environments
• Experience troubleshooting report failures and server issues
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and coordinating with development teams
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization of ETL jobs
• Experience managing backups, recovery, and migration between DEV, QA, and PROD environments
• Experience implementing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies
• Experience creating/editing published system documentation
• Willingness to perform assigned duties and adopt additional technologies as needed
• Hands-on experience with Forgerock, Business Objects v4.3 in a clustered configuration, or Tableau is a plus
• Willingness to work outside business hours to implement projects or system changes
