Job Summary

The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS) is seeking an IT Workforce Planning & Business Analyst to support the organizational assessment of its MIS division. The selected candidate will perform document reviews, conduct staff interviews, analyze workforce information, benchmark organizational structures, and prepare assessment reports to support current-state and future-state organizational planning.

Required / Preferred Experience

• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, IT workforce planning, organizational assessment, or business process analysis.

• Experience collecting and analyzing organizational and workforce information.

• Strong documentation and analytical skills.

• Experience supporting organizational assessments or business process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Review existing organizational charts, position descriptions, and HR documentation.

• Conduct staff interviews and document findings.

• Gather and analyze workforce information.

• Assess current organizational roles and responsibilities.

• Support benchmarking against comparable organizations.

• Identify differences between current-state and future-state organizational roles.

• Develop organizational mapping and RACI analysis.

• Prepare assessment materials, analytical reports, and presentations.

• Support senior consultants with organizational design recommendations.

• Maintain accurate documentation throughout the assessment process.
