Safe Haven Defense US is an industry leader in effective security solutions, delivering an innovative, durable, and proven solution designed to protect people, property, and mission-critical operations. We are dedicated to making environments safer through high-performance products, technical expertise, and trusted client partnerships.

Safe Haven Defense is seeking a detail-oriented, technically proficient Security Laminate Estimator to support our sales team in developing accurate, competitive, and profitable proposals for security laminate and window protection projects.

The Estimator will work directly with Business Development Managers (BDMs), sales representatives, project coordinators, and operations personnel to review project requirements, evaluate drawings and site survey information, assist in calculating material and labor requirements, develop project cost estimates, and prepare customer proposals.

This role is a critical link between sales and operations, ensuring that opportunities are priced accurately, project scopes are clearly defined, and sales representatives can focus on customer relationships, prospecting, and closing business.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills, project coordination and estimating experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

The ultimate objective of this role is to help Safe Haven Defense sell more efficiently, price projects accurately, protect profitability, and deliver projects successfully.

The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, proactive, and comfortable working alongside a high-performing sales organization. They understand that estimating is not simply a pricing function; it is a critical part of the sales process that helps the company win the right projects at the right margins.

They take ownership of their estimates, communicate issues early, and provide sales representatives with the information and confidence needed to pursue opportunities effectively.

  • Provide technical and pricing support during customer presentations and proposal reviews when needed.
  • Recommend value-engineering opportunities that maintain project requirements while improving affordability and profitability.
  • Site Surveys and Technical Review
  • Review site assessment information to verify measurements, glass types, pane quantities, accessibility, and installation conditions.
  • Coordinate with sales personnel and project coordinators to obtain missing measurements and project details.
  • Confirm that the proposed scope aligns with available product specifications, approved installation methods and timelines as well as applicable project requirements.
  • Flag glass conditions, framing limitations, attachment requirements, or other technical issues requiring review prior to installation.
  • Proposal Development
  • Prepare professional, standardized estimates and customer proposals using company-approved templates.
  • Clearly define the project scope, product specifications, quantities, pricing, assumptions, exclusions, and installation requirements.
  • Ensure proposals accurately reflect the intended scope of work and approved pricing.
  • Coordinate with sales personnel to meet customer deadlines and procurement requirements.
  • Assist with revisions, alternate pricing options, bid packages, and requests for information.
  • Support the preparation of bid documents, schedules of values, and supporting cost breakdowns when required.
  • Margin Protection and Project Handoff
  • Identify missing pricing, measurement discrepancies, and potential profitability concerns.
  • Confirm that estimates contain sufficient detail for operations to execute the project as sold.
  • Participate in project handoff meetings for awarded projects, especially large or complex jobs.
  • Communicate estimating assumptions, labor expectations, material quantities, and installation challenges to operations.
  • Help analyze differences between estimated and actual project costs to improve future estimating accuracy.
  • Assist in evaluating change orders and additional work requests when the project scope changes.
  • Systems, Reporting, and Process Improvement
