The Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Cardiology will provide technical expertise within the assigned area of practice and support the quality and technical functions of the department.


Under the supervision of the Supervisor or Management, the Technical Specialist plans, directs, and coordinates technical activities within the designated specialty. The role requires relevant nuclear medicine qualifications, California certification, national professional certification, and substantial experience in a hospital or imaging center environment.

Required Qualifications


Education

• Graduate of an accredited program in the relevant area of technical expertise.
  
  

Licensure and Certifications

• California Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification, required upon hire.
  
  
• One of the following national credentials, required upon hire:
  
  
  • Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB); or
    
    
  • Registered Technologist in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
    
    
• National Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association, required within 30 days of hire.
  
  

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a technologist in the relevant area of expertise in a hospital or imaging center.
  
  
• Technical experience in a hospital or healthcare environment.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a technologist in the specified field.
