Job description

Step into the field as our next CNC Machine Tool Field Service Engineer

Imagine starting your day reviewing a service ticket, packing precision levels and indicators, and heading to a high‑tech customer site. Some days it’s a local visit; other times you’re on a plane to commission an MTINC precision CNC slicing and dicing machine overseas. You arrive, level and align the equipment, calibrate systems, run verification cuts, and tune until the machine meets spec. You wrap up by explaining findings in plain language, documenting the work the same day, and flagging any recurring issues to the team.

What you'll take on

  • Install, level, calibrate, and commission MTINC precision CNC slicing and dicing machines at customer sites (domestic and international).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues using FANUC alarms/diagnostics, schematics, manuals, and test equipment.
  • Diagnose FANUC software, parameters, and settings to return machines to proper operation.
  • Work directly with customers to debug CNC programs (G-code and M-code) when cut quality or accuracy falls short.
  • Verify machine accuracy after installs and repairs; adjust until specifications are met.
  • Communicate clearly with customers about what you found, what you fixed, and what to monitor next.
  • Document every job the same day: work performed, parts used, time on site, and follow-ups.
  • Follow company and customer safety protocols on every job, including lockout/tagout and required PPE.
  • Surface recurring issues and continuous-improvement ideas to the service manager and engineering.
  • Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for urgent service needs.

What you bring

We will train the right person—apply even if you don’t meet every single requirement.

  • Hands-on background in field service, machine tool maintenance, CNC machining, or a related trade; strong mechanical aptitude welcomed.
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting fundamentals (we can teach reading wiring diagrams and schematics).
  • Familiarity with CNC machines and G-code—or the ability to learn them quickly.
  • Comfort using multimeters, indicators, and other diagnostic/measurement tools.
  • Professional, clear communication with customers and teammates.
  • Self-directed with strong time management; able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer and mobile proficiency for work orders, email, and reporting.
  • Valid driver’s license; valid passport or the ability to obtain one; ability to travel internationally.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice to have

  • Experience installing or servicing CNC machine tools, dicing saws, or semiconductor equipment.
  • Ability to read, edit, and debug G-code and M-code programs.
  • Experience with alignment and calibration tools such as precision levels, indicators, ballbars, or laser systems.
  • Technical degree, trade school certificate, or military technical training.

Schedule and travel

  • Shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Travel: Domestic and international
  • Travel frequency: Approximately 10–30 trips per year
