Shipping & Inventory Associate

Location: Aurora, IL
Pay: $24/hour
Schedule: 37.5 hours per week | 7.5 hours per day
Start Date: ASAP – Targeting October 26

Sterling Engineering is partnering with a leading precision measurement equipment manufacturer in Aurora, IL, to hire a Shipping & Inventory Associate. This is a hands-on position supporting service parts shipping, inventory, packaging, and equipment preparation.

Immediate opening! Our client is looking for someone who can start October 26.

Responsibilities

• Pick, pack, and ship service parts for field service technicians.
• Clean and prepare precision measuring gages for calibration.
• Assist with preparing rotational gages for upcoming service requirements.
• Perform inventory counts of consumable parts and supplies.
• Assemble and package service kits for field technicians.
• Maintain accurate shipping and inventory records through basic computer data entry.
• Support daily warehouse and service operations as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous shipping, packing, inventory, or warehouse experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and ability to perform data entry.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
• Comfortable standing and walking throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
• Comfortable using a step ladder up to 6 feet when picking parts.
• Must wear closed-toe and closed-heel shoes.
