Field Service Technician – ATM & Financial Equipment

Pay: $25–$30/hour, depending on experience

Position Overview

An ATM, Teller Cash Recycler (TCR), and financial equipment sales and service provider is seeking a Field Service Technician to support customers in the field. The technician will install, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair ATMs, TCRs, and related financial equipment and software components. Prior industry service experience is required. The right person is mechanically inclined, technically capable, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently at customer sites.

Responsibilities & Duties

• Install, service, maintain, and repair ATMs, TCRs, and related cash handling equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hardware, networking, and basic software issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and respond to service calls promptly.
• Help customers with equipment operation and basic troubleshooting on-site or by phone.
• Complete accurate work orders and service documentation.
• Manage tools and parts inventory while traveling between customer sites.

Qualifications

• Prior industry experience servicing ATMs, TCRs, ITMs, or related financial/payment equipment required.
• High school diploma and formal technical training or hands-on experience repairing electrical equipment.
• PC literacy and ability to use service applications and troubleshoot common network issues.
• Mechanical aptitude, strong diagnostic skills, and comfort working with tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently, manage a regional service route, and handle the physical demands of the role.
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and reliable transportation. A personal vehicle is used with mileage reimbursement.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Current NCR certification preferred.
• Manufacturer training or hands-on service experience with NCR, Glory, Hyosung, Diebold, or other ATM and TCR platforms.
• Experience across multiple ATM, ITM, or TCR products.
