Data Engineer

Location: Remote
Duration: 6+ Months Contract (Subcontractor)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with prior experience working within the Google ecosystem to build and optimize scalable data pipelines, analytics solutions, and reporting platforms. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, data-driven insights and automation solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, or Data Analytics.
• Strong expertise in SQL (complex queries, CTEs, window functions, performance optimization).
• Hands-on experience with Python (Pandas, NumPy, ETL automation, data validation).
• Experience with Looker Studio/PLX Dashboards for BI reporting and visualization.
• Knowledge of PLX Workflow, Piper, and Cider within Google's ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of Linux, shell scripting, and workflow automation.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable data pipelines, tables, and views for enterprise analytics.
• Develop and automate ETL/ELT workflows and data processing solutions.
• Integrate multiple data sources, define KPIs, and optimize reporting performance.
• Design, schedule, monitor, and maintain reliable data workflows.
• Partner with stakeholders to deliver actionable insights and scalable data solutions.

Note: Must have experience within the Google ecosystem and be open to transitioning to a full-time role after the contract period.
