Sr. Pentaho ETL Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide BAU support for existing data products and data integration pipelines.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues in a timely manner.

• Implement minor enhancements and performance optimizations to existing data workflows.

• Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes using Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Spoon).

• Design and develop new ETL pipelines to ingest data from APIs and multiple source systems.

• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support data processing, analysis, and ad hoc reporting requirements.

• Ensure data quality, reliability, and operational stability across all environments.

• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while working independently with minimal supervision.

• Adhere to NYPA operational, security, and compliance standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong hands-on experience with Pentaho Data Integration (PDI/Spoon).

• Solid experience with API integrations and data ingestion processes.

• Expertise in writing and optimizing SQL queries for reporting and data transformation.

• Experience supporting production data environments and BAU operations.

• Proven ability to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues efficiently.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.

• Demonstrated ability to work as an independent contributor.

Good to Have

• Prior experience with Informatica (preferred but not mandatory).

• Exposure to utility, energy, or other regulated industry data environments.

• Experience working with enterprise-scale data integration platforms.
