The Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position in the Health Sciences Clinical Series at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or Professor.
This unique position allows an enthusiastic geriatrician to drive innovation in transitional care by bridging the gap between inpatient stays and skilled nursing facilities, with the ultimate goal of successfully returning patients to their communities.
As an academic clinician joining the clinician-educator faculty track, the physician will collaborate closely with case management teams at UCI Health and partner skilled nursing facilities to streamline care pathways. A Medical Directorship opportunity is available. The role offers a distinct leadership opportunity to help develop an innovative new clinical program while working daily within a multidisciplinary team of fellow geriatricians, advanced practice providers, social workers, and health coaches. Beyond direct clinical care, the position provides robust opportunities to shape the future of geriatric medicine through teaching, quality improvement initiatives, and outcomes research within the division.
PRACTICE INFORMATION: We are seeking an enthusiastic, caring geriatrician to join an interdisciplinary outpatient practice with opportunities for skilled nursing facility care as well as inpatient consult work. The academic clinician will join the clinician-educator faculty series and work with other Geriatricians as well as Advance Practice Providers, Psychologists, Pharmacists, and Social Workers. Our goal is to provide superb medical care for a diverse patient population.
