Position : Snowflake Developer

Location : Milwaukee, WI (Onsite)

Term : W2/Full Time role

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Developer responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Snowflake, SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud-based data integration.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and views.
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion and transformation.
• Implement data loading strategies using Snowpipe, COPY INTO, and Snowflake stages.
• Perform data modeling, data integration, and database performance tuning.
• Work with large datasets and optimize query performance and warehouse costs.
• Implement data security, role-based access control (RBAC), and data governance.
• Integrate Snowflake with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and ensure data quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with data engineers, architects, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow data development best practices.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Excellent SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, and window functions.
• Experience with ETL/ELT development and data transformation.
• Knowledge of Snowflake architecture, virtual warehouses, databases, schemas, and stages.
• Experience with Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, and Time Travel.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional data modeling.
• Experience with Python or scripting languages.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD processes is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with tools such as Informatica, dbt, Matillion, Fivetran, or Azure Data Factory.
• Familiarity with data governance, data masking, and secure data sharing.
• Snowflake certification is a plus.
