Golang Developer – Remote (6-Month Contract to Hire)

About the Company
Our client is an established national healthcare services organization with a growing internal IT engineering team. The team builds and maintains the systems that connect the company’s internal platforms with outside healthcare partners.

About the Role
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. You’ll spend most of your day writing code: building, testing, and debugging Go services that integrate with external healthcare systems, and writing and optimizing SQL queries and stored procedures on Microsoft SQL Server. The broader stack includes Golang, SQL Server, and Angular.

Compensation, Schedule & Location

• 6-month W2 contract, then conversion to full-time
• Contract rate up to $70/hr; up to $135,000 base plus 10% bonus on conversion
• Fully remote (continental US), standard full-time schedule
• One in-person interview in the Midwest
• Two-step interview process, including a technical interview with live coding

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional, hands-on Go development
• Solid grasp of Go fundamentals, including slices, maps, concurrency (goroutines and channels), and JSON handling
• Strong SQL skills: complex queries, stored procedures, and query optimization (SQL Server preferred; PostgreSQL or MySQL considered)
• Ability to walk through the architecture of recent projects and the parts you built
• Healthcare interoperability experience (FHIR, HL7, or similar) is a plus
• Java, Angular, or AI experience is a plus
• Mentoring or tech lead experience while staying hands-on is a plus
