The Power Works, LLC | A General and Electrical Contractor | Estacada, OR
Full-time, four 10-hour days a week, Monday–Thursday | $27-$30/hour | Health insurance, paid
time off and paid holidays
We're a licensed general and electrical contractor looking for a seasoned construction foreman to run
our renovation and repair projects in the field. You'll be the person who knows the plan, keeps the crew
and the trades moving, and keeps the customer informed, so each job finishes on time, on budget, and
done right.
What you'll do
• Run renovation, repair and pole-structure projects from start to finish as our on-site lead, and
work alongside your crew
• Read plans, scopes and contracts, and turn them into a daily work plan and schedule
• Coordinate the trades: schedule and sequence our electricians, plumbers and other
subcontractors so each phase is ready when the next trade arrives
• Be the customer's main contact on site: progress updates, questions, walk-throughs, and a
clean, safe job site
• Handle change orders properly: document extra work in writing and get approval before the
work starts
• Order and receive materials, and turn in receipts coded to the right job so we can bill on
progress and track job costs
• Schedule and pass building inspections, and make sure the work meets code and permit
requirements
• Run daily safety talks, enforce PPE and jobsite safety, and train and mentor crew members
• Send the office daily progress, photos, measurements, material needs and any problems early
What you bring
• 10+ years of construction experience, including leading crews or running jobs as a foreman or
lead
• Wall framing, window setting, beam placement experience
• Pole or post-frame structure experience: you understand how these buildings go together,
from layout and setting posts to framing, roofing and siding
• Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing work: enough to read the plans, sequence the
trades, spot problems and ask the right questions. You are not expected to perform work that
Oregon law reserves for licensed electricians and plumbers.
• Strong plan-reading skills, and familiarity with Oregon permits and inspections
• Good communication with customers, crews and subcontractors
• Three professional references we can call
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation; able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights and
outdoors in all weather
A plus
• Estimating experience: site measurements, material lists, labor hours, or building estimates
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 card
• Experience with renovation and repair work on existing buildings (roofing, siding, structural
repair, interior finish)
• Experience with progress billing and job cost reporting
What we offer
• $27-$30/hour
• Full-time: four 10-hour days a week, Monday–Thursday [6:30am-4:30pm]
• Health insurance, paid time off and paid holidays after probation period
• Steady work with a growing contractor, and a path to a larger role as we grow
