Steel Traditions | Vista, CA | Full-Time | On-Site | $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Steel Traditions is a custom steel window and door manufacturer in Vista, California. Our fabricators are skilled craftsmen, and we are looking for a respected, hands-on Shop Foreman to lead the crew, keep work on schedule and represent our work with contractors and installers.

Responsibilities
- Lead the shop crew and earn their respect by pitching in: helping move, check, assemble and measure work.
- Schedule daily work and keep each department on time using our production board.
- Make sure everyone wears their safety gear, every day, in every department.
- Perform simple equipment maintenance, and schedule and track maintenance or repair for equipment that is due, failed or damaged.
- Troubleshoot equipment and process problems using artificial intelligence tools before calling for repair.
- Keep a friendly working relationship with contractors and installers.
- Hold knowledgeable conversations on job sites and stand up for Steel Traditions work.
- Handle customer service items and schedule site visits through our website forms so everything is tracked.

Requirements
- Several years leading a crew in metal fabrication, construction or a related trade.
- Able to read shop drawings and take and check field measurements.
- Hands-on and willing to help on the floor.
- Steady, respectful communicator with crew, contractors and customers.
- Reliable for an early start; valid driver license for site visits.
- Uses artificial intelligence tools and a tablet daily with our systems (production board, quality check and end-of-day forms, website forms); comfortable learning new tools.

Nice to Have
- Experience with steel windows, doors, storefront or architectural metal.
- Installation or field supervision experience.
- Basic equipment maintenance experience.
- Spanish speaker.
- Forklift and safety certificates.

Schedule
- Full time, with a 6:00 or 6:30 AM start.
