Rhapsody Developer
Location: Trenton, NJ
Employment Type: Contract (NO BENEFITS)
Job Summary
We are seeking a Rhapsody Developer to work closely with clinical, technical, and product teams to ensure seamless data interoperability between internal and third-party health systems.
Must-Haves
- PEGA Business Architect certification
- Minimum 3 years of Rhapsody development
- Excellent communication skills
- Currently residing within commuting distance of Trenton, NJ (not open to relocation)
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
What You’ll Do
- Translate clinical and operational workflows into technical integration solutions
- Work with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Athena, Eclinical) to enable bi-directional data exchange
- Collaborate with DevOps teams on deployment and monitoring of integrations
- Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and security (e.g., HIPAA)
- Support and optimize existing Rhapsody solutions
Required Qualifications
- PEGA Business Architect certification
- Minimum 3 years of software development in Rhapsody
- Minimum 2 years working with healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR and HL7 v2)
- Strong experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django
- Deep understanding of FHIR resources and HL7 v2 messaging
- Familiarity with FHIR servers (HAPI FHIR, Firely, AWS FHIR APIs)
Preferred Qualifications
- Develop and maintain HL7 v2 and FHIR-based integration pipelines
- Implement and support SOAP web services, SFTP clients, and RESTful FHIR APIs for internal and external use
- Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration
- Experience parsing and generating JSON, XML, and HL7 v2 messages
- Hands-on experience with integration tools
- Experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL/Oracle)
- Familiarity with healthcare vocabularies such as SNOMED CT, LOINC, and ICD-10
