Clinical Director – PHP/IOP
Confidential Search | Fort Lauderdale, Florida | Full-Time, Onsite
Lead clinical care for a combined PHP and IOP program with a substantial census. You will shape the program's clinical quality and flow day to day as part of a small, hands-on leadership team.
About the Organization
Our client is an accredited, well-established mental health and addiction treatment provider in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It offers a full continuum of care, from medical detox and residential through PHP, IOP, and outpatient. Programs are mental-health-first and dual-diagnosis focused, and are delivered in a patient-centered, private-insurance setting.
The Role
The PHP/IOP Clinical Director leads clinical care across the organization's partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. The population is generally more stable than in residential. The census is larger, so the role calls for strong program management, consistent documentation, and close attention to clinical quality.
This is a hands-on leadership position with substantial client-facing work. You will carry real responsibility for clinical issues and for how the program runs each day.
What You'll Do
Provide clinical leadership and direction across PHP and IOP programming
Supervise, train, and support the clinical team, and maintain quality and consistency of care at scale
Oversee treatment planning, group and individual programming, and step-down transitions
Manage clinical concerns and crises as they arise, in partnership with operations
Ensure documentation meets private-insurance, utilization review, and accreditation standards, with timely turnaround
Coordinate with the residential team, medical providers, and families on continuity of care
Stay reachable for urgent clinical issues, including Teams and email outside standard hours when needed
What We're Looking For
Active Florida licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Licensed Psychologist
Behavioral health leadership experience covering both clinical and operational responsibilities
Strong clinical background in mental health, including co-occurring disorders
Experience in a private treatment setting, with a working understanding of insurance-based care and documentation
Commitment to patient-centered care
Strong crisis management and clinical judgment
Organized, responsive, and able to manage a high census without losing quality
Preferred: Florida Qualified Supervisor status and PHP/IOP program leadership experience. Candidates with a stronger substance use background will be considered if they can demonstrate the ability to adapt quickly to complex mental health populations.
