Join Our Team as a Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) - Surgical Services

Are you a dedicated Sterile Processing Technician ready to make a vital impact in surgical services? At Ochsner Health, we are seeking a skilled and committed professional to ensure the highest standards of sterilization and instrument management, supporting life-saving procedures and patient care. This is your opportunity to work with a dynamic team in a reputable healthcare environment, where your expertise directly contributes to patient safety and hospital efficiency.

Required Skills
  • Valid CRCST or CSPDT certification
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working at Level I or II hospitals
  • Proficiency with sterilization equipment including Sterrad machines, Ultrasonic devices (CaviWave, Medisafe, Belimed), and sterilizers
  • Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting

Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with emergency team assignments and quick adaptation to operational changes
  • Knowledge of hospital operational procedures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Education and Experience
  • Related certification (CRCST or CSPDT) required
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a surgical or sterilization processing role within hospital settings

Other Requirements
  • Willingness to participate in emergency team assignments as needed, including staying onsite until the situation clears
  • Must have a reliable work history with no prior cancellations
  • Ability to start on the designated date of 06/08/2026
  • Compensated at $30.15 per hour
  • Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 22:00)
  • Must adhere to all safety and operational protocols
  • Additional reimbursable expenses may include licensure, certifications, travel, and other related costs
